Hello Pack 52 Families!
I hope everyone was able to weather (no pun intended) the recent storms that impacted our area, even as we prepare for what may be Round 3. If any of you are still being impacted from the recent weather and require any assistance, please let us know! I would like to claim getting this newsletter out a bit late this month on an inclement weather delay, but since a Scout is Trustworthy, the reality is that these past few weeks have been extremely busy for me (even without the impact from the weather). That said, March is always an interesting month and the start of a time of change. We move into Daylight Savings Time as we start to move out of Winter, while Spring is not quite here, yet. As a Pack, we celebrate the anniversary of Scouting in March, as well as watch our oldest Cub Scouts take the next step in Scouting by becoming Boy Scouts. But before we get into this month's newsletter, I want to take a moment to thank a number of people who are moving on from the Pack this month as their sons cross over into Boy Scouts. Our Pack would not be where it is today with out the leadership and support from Chris Levesque, Dan Ring, and Tom Santoli who are some of, if not the, longest members of the Pack 52 family. Without their leadership, guidance, and participation, we would not be the Pack we are today. For our newer families, these three may not be as familiar to you, but you would have seen them at our Pack meetings, camping trips, and most of our outings. I can't thank them enough for getting us to this point and I congratulate them as they as well as their sons take on the challenges and opportunities at the next level of Scouting. If you see them at Den Meetings this month, or at the Blue and Gold Banquet, congratulate their sons,, but PLEASE thank them for everything they've contributed to the Pack over the last several years. They will be missed! Now, let's dig into this month!

Now, on to the good stuff!
Please take a moment to read this important message from Doylestown Cub Scout Pack 52's new Cubmaster, Jim Kimmel, about important information for the upcoming year. Hello Parents!!I hope everyone is having a great summer! I would like to extend a special welcome to the new parents joining Pack 52 this year, as well as the parents whose boys are continuing their Scouting Adventure in our Pack! It’s hard to believe, I know, but we’re a few weeks away from a new school year starting, which means we’re getting close to kicking off a new Scouting year in Pack 52. I am honored to be serving as Cubmaster for Pack 52 for the 2017-2018 Scouting year, and am looking forward to getting to know all of you better as I get started in this new role. I have big shoes to fill, as Chris Levesque has done a tremendous job as Cubmaster for the last several years! As we start looking forward to the coming year, there are several changes coming and I wanted to make sure that you are all aware of these as we go through the year. Our Pack continues to grow, and with that growth, we may need to do some things a bit differently, while doing our best to keep our Pack family atmosphere, to help ensure the best experiences possible for our Scouts. |
