Hello Pack 52!
Spring is in the air! We have a busy month this month and with the weather getting nicer, we’re gearing up for more activities and opportunities to get out and have some fun. As a result, there’s a lot of info in this week’s update…

Hello Pack 52!
Clocks spring ahead this coming weekend! That’s a good sign that Spring is right around the corner and racing in fast (though perhaps not as fast as our Pinewood Derby cars! While we’ll lose an hour of sleep on Sunday, we’ll soon be heading outside for activities!! Also, there may not be weekly update next week, but Den Meetings should be back to their regular schedule, and upcoming events are updated below. Now on to this week’s updates… Hello Pack 52!
It’s Hard to believe that February is almost over, but Spring is just around the corner! With the State Street Players still at OLMC, we have one more week of Tuesday night den meetings outside of OLMC School. Please keep in contact with your Den Leader(s) about meeting location(s) for this Tuesday. Also, we’ve updated the information about the Pinewood Derby, and we’ll post a separate item just on that last this week. Now on to this week’s updates… Hello Pack 52!
I hope you all enjoyed last week’s Pack Meeting. Sorry for the technical difficulties, but I linked the Pinewood Derby videos we tried to show down below. As we’re closing in on summer, Pack activites will start to ramp up again, so stay tuned for more information to come. And a reminder, with the State Street Players now at OLMC, we are losing access to the classrooms on Tuesday nights for the next several weeks. Please keep in contact with your Den Leader(s) about meeting locations. The Pack meeting on February 19 will still be held in the cafeteria. Now on to this week’s updates… Hello Pack 52 Families!
I hope everyone was able to weather (no pun intended) the recent storms that impacted our area, even as we prepare for what may be Round 3. If any of you are still being impacted from the recent weather and require any assistance, please let us know! I would like to claim getting this newsletter out a bit late this month on an inclement weather delay, but since a Scout is Trustworthy, the reality is that these past few weeks have been extremely busy for me (even without the impact from the weather). That said, March is always an interesting month and the start of a time of change. We move into Daylight Savings Time as we start to move out of Winter, while Spring is not quite here, yet. As a Pack, we celebrate the anniversary of Scouting in March, as well as watch our oldest Cub Scouts take the next step in Scouting by becoming Boy Scouts. But before we get into this month's newsletter, I want to take a moment to thank a number of people who are moving on from the Pack this month as their sons cross over into Boy Scouts. Our Pack would not be where it is today with out the leadership and support from Chris Levesque, Dan Ring, and Tom Santoli who are some of, if not the, longest members of the Pack 52 family. Without their leadership, guidance, and participation, we would not be the Pack we are today. For our newer families, these three may not be as familiar to you, but you would have seen them at our Pack meetings, camping trips, and most of our outings. I can't thank them enough for getting us to this point and I congratulate them as they as well as their sons take on the challenges and opportunities at the next level of Scouting. If you see them at Den Meetings this month, or at the Blue and Gold Banquet, congratulate their sons,, but PLEASE thank them for everything they've contributed to the Pack over the last several years. They will be missed! Now, let's dig into this month! Reserve Your Place Today! (Ends on 03.09.2018)If you have been, or are, unable to purchase a ticket for the Blue and Gold banquet in person, please download and complete this form and email to Jayme Foster, before Friday, March 9th.
We need final attendance numbers by Friday, March 9th! The cost per family is $20 and will help defray the cost of the catered dinner. |
