Monthly Activities & OutingsPack 52 typically schedules one outing per month outside of Den and Pack meetings. Events can change and we're always open to new ideas or places to go. Camping and the Pinewood Derby are, of course, favorites that will create lifelong memories. Below are some of the examples of what we do or take a look at some of the events already scheduled for the year.
|
Blue & Gold Banquet |
Typically held in early spring, the pack gets together for a family banquet to reflect on achievements and celebrate the WEBELOS, completing their Arrow of Light requirements, that will be moving onto Scouts.
|
Camping |
Scouting places a lot of weight on outdoor activities and being a good steward of the environment. Pack 52 traditionally has family camping trips in late October / early November and late April / early May at local state or county parks. For many Cub Scouts, this is their first experience around the campfire and they'll be talking about it for months.

Council Events |
Pack 52 is a member of the Washington Crossing Council, Tohickon District. In the Fall, the Council hosts ScoutFest which brings together all the Boy Scout Troops and Cub Scout Packs for a weekend of fun. As a pack, we'll likely make a day or single night trip of it.
In the Spring, Tohickon District hosts Gold Rush which is a day of pioneering activities and competitions where Cub Packs work together as teams against other groups. In past years, the event was held locally at Fonthill - Moravian Tile Works. |
Pinewood Derby |
A classic! Everybody looks forward to the Pinewood Derby, the winner has the opportunity to move on to the Districts and upwards. It's not all about speed, we do reward design and originality as well. Pack 52 has its own track and computerized timing system.
|
Service |
Pack 52 performs several service projects throughout the year, for example, clean-ups at local parks. This gives our Cub Scouts an opportunity to get out in the community and make a difference. Service to community is a value that your Cub Scout can appreciate for life.
Doylestown is host to the country's oldest Memorial Day Parade. Pack 52 continues to proudly march at that event in honor of those who have served. This is a great opportunity for our Cub Scouts to learn more about that sacrifice and represent the pack publicly. |
